We’ve featured amusing and clever blog posts by Josh Weed a few times before on MDB.
But this weekend, his blog took a more serious turn and has created something of a stir (2,046 comments and counting as of this writing).
Josh and his wife, Lolly, are celebrating their 10th anniversary (normally associated with tin and aluminum gifts) with a weekend away, including taking in the show, The Blue Man Group (which they really enjoyed, by the way) and publishing for the first time a dual Josh-and-Lolly post about something they’d never shared with their blog readers before.
Typically, such a declaration would be followed by a denouncement and hurt feelings on one side or the other, if not both. Here, there is only a call for love.
Regardless of where you stand on this frequently polarizing issue, this is a timely, sensitively written post that would be well worth your time reading.
Consider joining Josh and Lolly’s Club Unicorn.

I have a big concern about Josh coming out of the closet with this Unicorn Club as he states clearly and he writes clearly in #8 that their is no incorrect path for gay religious to live out their lives, although Josh choose to marry. According to God their is only one straight narrow path if you know what I mean. The Weed’s will be harming many gay and homosexuals if they don’t understand that clearly sex was meant only in marriage with a man and woman. Outside of marriage sex is very destructive, including fortification, polygamy etc… I praise God Josh has controlled his same sex attraction feelings and has married, but telling others their is no incorrect path for gay religious to live, is going to harm his family and the world. May God bless Josh and his wife to guide others to the one and only narrow path paved by God.
Lisa Ann, I don’t know what you mean. You’re an idiot. Fortification? I think you meant fornification. Fortification means to make stronger; not to be destroyed.
But this is not the reason you’re an idiot. The reason is because you listen to an imaginary sky daddy and the people who claim to speak for him instead of common sense. There is NOTHING wrong with being gay. Straight women or men should not have to pay the cost.
Read this if you think Josh’s situation is great.

Just in case you’re not sure, I typed “fornification” as a joke. It’s fornication.
Right on, Amy! And funny to boot:). I’ll post my own rebuttal in a while but for now, a big bravo to you for being short and very sweet.
If sex outside of marriage were destructive (and it’s not), then you should have written:
“Outside of marriage, sex, including fornication, polygamy, etc. is very destructive.” And then, of course, you could have followed it up with praising God that some people are willing to live in shams of marriages, thereby protecting your family. (How, we’re not really sure.)
On the other hand, your declaration that sex outside of marriage (which you wrote, my turn, as “…Outside of marriage, sex…”i think YOU meant “outside of marriage sex…”, no?) , like fornication (what do you think is meant by sex–tilt-a-whirl or knitting or something?!), polygamy, etc, to which i would add promiscuity (no matter your sexual orientation) is not destructive, i think we could expect more than just the bald statement, a follow-up argument, for example. I disagree with you here, by the way, at least in part, but i’m not making any bald declarations on the subject. In my rebuttal to Mr Weed’s article, part of which i have published on Jobs & Titles, i have ARGUED that homosexuality is as normal to the homosexual as heterosexuality is to the heterosexual, not just stated it and expected people, intelligent and idiotic alike, to take my word for it or blindly reject. It must be ARGUED, just as the author of the The Weed Club Unicorn did, unconvincingly for me, i grant you that. But he did argue his point. You have opinions, worthy ones, polemical ones. Now they/you just need to be able to stand up to arguments, including opposing ones. Thanks for the link! With my best wishes:)
